The “Robust PCs” division is being spun off, resulting in the creation of Mettenmeier Mobile Solutions GmbH – for even greater focus, service quality and innovative strength.
Günter Ruberg will become managing director.
Panasonic as a new partner
Panasonic's robust devices are being added to the portfolio. This further expands the product range with another strong selection of proven hardware for professional applications.
Last service Colibri
Even more than ten years after production ended, the originally self-produced devices remain in use: in 2023 a Colibri model was serviced, the production of which had already been discontinued in 2012 – an impressive example of the durability and readiness for use in the field.
Partnership with Getac
With the cessation of its own production, the company strategically realigned its focus: Getac was brought on board as an experienced partner for robust hardware. This marked the beginning of a long-term partnership with one of the world's leading manufacturers in this field.
The bird has flown away
After years of in-house device development and manufacturing, production is being discontinued. The strategic repositioning focuses on consulting and integrating the best products on the market.
Reintegration into Mettenmeier GmbH
After more than ten years of independent development and sales, Microport GmbH is being reintegrated into Mettenmeier GmbH in order to better utilize synergies in the areas of development, sales and service.
Spin-off into Microport GmbH
The "Robust PCs" division is being spun off from Mettenmeier GmbH and will continue as an independent company under the name Microport GmbH. The aim is to specialize more strongly in mobile solutions for field service.
