Getac UX10 at NBB

Enduring and indestructible

When mobile data is processed during network operations, NBB generally does so on robust Getac tablets. The network operator from Berlin and Brandenburg currently uses over 250 devices in a wide variety of processes. The Getac UX10 model is the linchpin of many activities and, like a toolbox or shovel, is a natural companion for mobile staff.

The largest area is planned preventive maintenance with activities such as system maintenance, valve maintenance, house connection inspection or the digital sensing process. In the metering system, the devices support around 15,000 meter movements every year. In addition, there is the planning and construction area with over 4,000 construction measures in the network connection system.

In the troubleshooting service, the Getac UX10 replaces the current Getac T800 model. This is installed as standard in the center console of the troubleshooting vehicles and from there controls both the navigation and the office workstation and the MGC software from Mettenmeier used for troubleshooting documentation. Special ATEX devices are also used to ensure the necessary safety in areas at risk of explosion.

The Getac devices enjoy a high level of acceptance among the NBB's operational units. The robustness, the display, the barcode reader and the good camera are just as beneficial as the ease of use, the long battery life and the proven integration into the IT world.
