Durable and indestructible
When mobile data is processed during network operations, NBB typically uses robust Getac tablets. The network operator from Berlin and Brandenburg currently deploys over 250 devices in a wide variety of processes. The Getac UX10 model is the central hub for many tasks and, like a toolbox or shovel, is an indispensable companion for mobile personnel.
The largest area is scheduled preventive maintenance, encompassing activities such as plant maintenance, valve maintenance, service connection inspections, and digital monitoring. In metering, the devices support approximately 15,000 meter readings annually. Additionally, the planning and construction area handles over 4,000 construction projects related to network connections.
In the fault repair service, the Getac UX10 is replacing the currently used Getac T800 model. The T800 is installed as standard in the center console of the repair vehicles and controls the navigation system, the office workstation, and the Mettenmeier MGC software used for fault documentation. ATEX-certified devices are also used to ensure the necessary safety in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The Getac devices enjoy high acceptance among NBB's operational units. Their robustness, display, barcode reader, and good camera are just as advantageous as their ease of use, long battery life, and proven integration into the IT environment.
